Why We're Here

High on Jesus began making branded apparel to show off the lifestyle we have committed to. Our journey began a few years ago for our friends and supporters to help us fund our ministry - spreading the good news about recovery and proving that it is possible. High on Jesus: The Brand exists to spread good news and share faith in recovery.

We work directly with the 501(c)3 organization Hand Up To Victory. There is a huge gap that exists in our hometown of Bradenton,FL. We work with the people that are seen as outcasts or less than. They want to change their life, but lack support, resources, and finances to change their circumstances. This often leads to drug or alcohol addiction, homelessness, and eventually can cause death.

Through our partnership with Hands Up To Victory, we are able to provide safe sober living, transitional housing, food, clothing, hygiene products, cell phones, and access to full time jobs that will hire convicted felons on the spot!

Every time you purchase from HOJ: The Brand, you have helped feed and house a man or woman who would be sleeping outside tonight.

Meet the Founder

Justin Halas

Justin’s story begins with a 15+ year drug addiction that stole his family, life, money, and health. He did nothing but hurt himself and the people around him. Eventually, it led to him being a convicted felon, homeless, committing crimes, losing custody of his son, and becoming a drain on society. He’s been to every version of detox, rehab, inpatient, outpatient, long term program, recovery groups, and medicated treatment there is. He continued to relapse over and over again, over 150 times.

He has realized since being clean that those programs are effective, he just wasn’t ready to give up his addiction.

Today, he has 10 years clean and sober and does not use any mind or mood altering substances. “How’d you do it?” people ask. “What was different this time than all the other times you relapsed?” He always answers, “When I received the gift of desperation, I then had the willingness to seek out God, to ask for help, and to take suggestions from people, that was the day my life changed and I believe the day anyone’s life can change!” He now makes it his life’s mission to help others to get sober and find faith.

High on Jesus: The Program

High on Jesus, in partnership with Hand Up To Victory, is a recovery program that meshes faith and the 12-step process.
HOJ’s core verse is Matthew 7:7 “Ask and you shall receive, seek and you will find, knock and the door will be opened to you”.
We believe High on Jesus is a lifestyle not a one time event. From weekly meetings, taking our process, meetings, and messages into jails, institutions, rehabs, and statewide, we have been able to make an impact much larger than we ever thought possible.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-129:
Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour. For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up. Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone? And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken. Ask, Seek, Knock.

Luke 11:5-137
Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. We will always answer the door!
